PRIVACY POLICY OF VILIPO

 

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a payment through www.vilipo.lt (the “Site”).
Organized “Vilnius International Project Olympiad” (hereinafterVilipo) data controller is the public institution MERIDIAN LYCEUM, legal entity code 300556174, address M. Dauksos St. 7, LT-02101 Vilnius.

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT


PURPOSE OF THE DATA PROCESSING – to provide professional, technical, administrative and relevant services related to the Olympiad during the Olympiad. Therefore, you can take part in the Olympiad and use the services.

You give your data of your own free will to the data controller. This data is processed based on a contract between you and the organizers regarding the participation and related services in the Olympiad.

Processing the data is necessary in order to conclude and properly manage the Olympiad Participation Agreement. As a result, failure to provide the data would render the contract impossible to implement properly. (Article 6(1) (b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.)

Data about diet and allergies is processed for the purpose of protecting your health.
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device.

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

– “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site and collect data, including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.


– “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
Additionally, when you apply and pay through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, payment information (credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Payment Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we talk about both Device Information and Payment Information.

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?


In the section of School/Organization: Name of the School or organization; country; city; address; post code; main contact person; main contact person’s email; telephone number.

In the project upload section: name of the project; category; name and surname of the supervisor; name and surname of the student; date of birth; document of a project; abstract of the project.

The payment section includes the number of projects, type of the participant, gender, date of birth, and payment information. We use the Payment Information we generally collect to fulfil any payment placed through the Site (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices and/or payment confirmations). Additionally, we use this payment Information to:

Communicate with you;

Screen our payment for potential risk or fraud, and

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, we provide you with information or advertising relating to our services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address) and, more generally, to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our participants browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

 

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Possible recipients of personal data – the authorized persons of Olympiad, the person providing the accounting service (accountant). Except for the before-named persons, the data processed shall not be disclosed to any third parties or outside the European Union.

We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Video surveillance –video surveillance is carried out in certain parts of the place where the Olympiad is organized (in its territory and common-use corridors). Public institution MERIDIAN LYCEUM is not the data controller of this data because the Olympiad is organised at the Saulėtekis al. 3, Vilnius 10257, Lithuania.

 

BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING


As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. YOUR RIGHTS


Data subjects have these rights: They have information about the processing of personal data; obtain access to personal data held about you; ask for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data to be corrected; request that personal data be erased when it’s no longer needed or if processing it is unlawful; object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes or on grounds relating to your particular situation; request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in specific cases; receive your personal data in a machine-readable format and send it to another controller (‘data portability’).

Restrictions on these rights are detailed in Lithuania’s General Data Protection Regulation and the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.

You may contact an authorized person to enforce your rights.
The authorized person responds to your requests without undue delay and, at the latest, within 1 month. If the authorized person doesn’t intend to comply with your request, they must state why.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the State Data Protection Inspectorate regarding unlawful data processing.

 

DATA RETENTION


When you make a payment through the Site, we will maintain your payment Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

 

CHANGES


We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
